About

The Inner West Jaguars were founded in June 2025  by Jason Bateman, in response to demand in the inner western suburbs of Sydney for basketball skills training in an engaging and fun way, where kids can get fit, and develop their ball skills at the same time. The group started with structured skills training for small groups, open to complete beginners, and expanded to operating two basketball teams competing in the Inner City Basketball league for girls and boys in the 6-12 year old age groups.

The club is supported by our sister club (innercitytigers.com) which has been operating for 2 years.

We hope you can join us on your basketball journey, and learn the values of hard work, being part of a team, and having fun at the same time, as well as learning resiliency.
